Incident #016/2021 - Halton

On Friday afternoon at 13.45 pm on the 19th February our 4th callout in 2 days we were requested by the North West Ambulance Service to attend the banks of the river Lune for a 58 year old female who had fallen and broken her ankle. With the ground very wet and muddy due to the recent heavy rain over past days, the rescue Team were requested to evacuate the patient using our mountain rescue Bell stretcher to the ambulance. The patient was then transferred into Lancaster Royal Infirmary by the ambulance service for further treatment. We wish the patient a quick and speedy recovery.
