As incident 42 was completed on the 3 Peaks Cyclo Cross, the rescue team and the same fell party were presented with another rider who had fallen, this time suffering from chest pain, again, on the downside of Whernside.
Our Team Doctor assessed the injured rider and determine that he had a minor rib injury, and he was able to walk the short distance to Ribblehead where he was collected and safely returned to race control.
