Incident 033/2022
The rescue Team received a request from the North West Ambulance Service to assist with an injured 46-year-old male who had tripped and had injured his ankle whilst out walking in the Saddle Fell area of the Trough of Bowland.
Team members were quickly on scene (some live very close) and assessed the situation and injuries. The injured make had managed to hobble down the fell quite a way and with the local farmer, he was transported by Quad bike to safety where he was then driven to hospital by friends.
Post incident, the injured casualty appears to have broken his ankle and is in a plastic protective cast. As always, we wish our casualty a speedy and healthy recovery.
