On the evening of Sunday 9th April 2023 the rescue team were requested by Lancashire Constabulary to recover and extricate a deceased person on Longridge Fell. With the duty undertakers unable to move the person, the rescue team attended and gently moved the deceased from the fell to the road head, where the duty undertakers then over.
The rescue team gives our condolences to the family and friends of the deceased during this sad time.
The incident included 14 volunteer team members of Bowland Pennine and took 3 hours to complete.
