Incident 018/2024
As Team members were completing incident 17 on the River Lune, Team members that were returning to our base in Garstang came across a road traffic collision which involved a motor bike, near the Quernmore Primary School.
6 Team members attended the scene where an 18 year-old female had suffered injuries to her hip. Team members treated the female and called the North West Ambulance Service for further support.
Once the ambulance arrived we handed over the casualty so further treatment could be carried out and she was then transported into hospital.
7 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were involved during this incident on Saturday 11th May 2024 which took 2 hours to complete.
We wish the young lady a quick and speedy recovery.
