Early morning, at 01.26hrs on Monday 24th June 2024 the rescue Team received a request from Lancashire Police to assist with a high risk missing person search in Ormskirk.
A 48-year-old male, called as vulnerable had been reported as missing from home and the rescue Team were requested to search the local area.
Once the Team had assembled at 03.00hrs, we set out search plans for the surrounding areas. At 09.00hrs, after a long a tired morning, the rescue Team stood down with our missing person still outstanding.
12 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were involved in this high priority search.
*Post Incident – Thankfully the missing person has since been found safe and well.
