Incident 039/2024
During our annual fell race cover for the 3 Peaks Cyclo Cross in Yorkshire on the 29th September 2024, one of the riders presented himself to our rescue Team at the Ribblehead Viaduct with a cut to the chin.
There was also a report of the rider being unconscious (self-declared that he may have been knocked out) but this was not confirmed. With a bad cut to his chin, the injury was washed with clean water and a sterile wipe by our Mountain rescue team and a dressing was applied to the injury, he was then advised to seek further medical assistance and was transported by a member of his family back to Helwith Bridge and race control.
