Incident 004/2025
Early Saturday morning at 00.20 hrs on the 11th January 2025, the rescue Team were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service to assist one of their crews who couldn’t get to a house to attend too an 82-year-old female due to the snow and ice weather conditions.
The casualty had fallen down stairs, collapsed and suffered a serious head injury.
On arrival, ambulance teams were on scene and were attending the casualty so the rescue Team assisted with the extrication across snow and ice from the property to the ambulance.
12 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were involved in this very early morning incident which lasted3 hours.
