Incident 009/2025
On Tuesday evening at 6.30pm 25th February 2025 the rescue Team were requested by the North West Ambulance Service to assist with 12-year-old boy who had fallen and injured his elbow.
On arrival, further assessments alerted the rescue Team that the young man was also suffering from the cold, first stages of Hypothermia and his elbow may be dislocated.
On carrying out immediate first aid and then splinting the elbow, the Team members along with the parents walked him back across very muddy terrain in the dark to their car where they can carried on taking him into the local hospital.
19 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue were involved in this callout and we wish the young man a speedy recovery and all the very best for the future.
