Incident 011/2025
At 03.53 hrs early on Sunday morning the 16th March, Lancashire Police contacted the rescue Team to assist in an ongoing search for a vulnerable 13-year-old male who had been missing since the evening before.
The rescue Team were requested to search woods and open areas, with the Coastguard searching the coastal area.
Mountain Rescuers, Mountain Rescue Search Dogs, RNLI, Coastguard and Police were all involved, but thankfully the good news arrived in the morning that our missing Teenager was found safe and well outside of the search area.
19 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team along with our search dog were involved in this search around Silverdale which took 7 hours.
Our best wishes go to the Teenager and his family for the future.
