On Saturday, the 3rd August 2024 our Mountain Rescue Team provided First Aid and Communications for the 50th Borrowdale Fell race, which was based in the Borrowdale village of Rosthwaite.
227 runners started the race, which covers 16.8 miles (27km) going over Bessy Boot, Esk Hause, Scafel Pike, Great Gable, Dale Head and returning into Rosthwaite village. 217 runners completed and finished the course with no reported injuries.
27 Team Members, all volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue attended and contributed to this year’s event and we look forward in attending next year, the 51st race.
