Incident 029/2024
During our annual fell race cover for the Borrowdale Fell race on Saturday 3rd August, at our check point on Scafell Pike, a male walker aged 56 years old who was not involved with the race presented himself to our Team members with a head injury. Small lacerations to the scalp and pain to his knee and shoulder were sustained as a result of falling.
Team members dressed the head wound and the walker was advised to seek further medical assistance once he was off the hill.
4 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue assisted in this incident and we wish the walker a speedy recovery.
