The second injury during the day of the Borrowdale Fell race on Saturday 3rd August 2024, a female fell runner part of the Borrowdale fell race fell over as she approached the Esk Hause check point, recognising help was needed Team members, which included our Team Doctor deployed from the check point to the scene scene and treated accordingly.
Injuries included a knee laceration, the wound cleaned and Steri-strips and a dressing was applied. Mild pain relief was also given.
3 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were involved in this incident and we wish our patient a speedy recovery.
