Incident 043/2024
While attending the Slaidburn Remembrance event on Sunday 10th November 2024, one of organisers approached Team members and asked if they could help a lady who had been taken ill.
The lady, aged 86 had taken a funny turn and had fallen over. She was lying on the floor in the road when Team members arrived.
After an initial assessment (the lady was alert, medical observations were normal, no injuries and no known medical conditions) the lady was moved onto a thermal roll mat to prevent heat loss.
A member of the public had called an ambulance which was going to take an excessive time to arrive, so the family decided to take her in their own car so they were advised to get the lady re-assessed and checked at a hospital.
We wish the poorly lady a speedy recovery and wish her all the very best.
