On Saturday 5th April 2025, Lancashire Police contacted our rescue Team to continue with the search for Brian Fletcher, who has been missing for 3 weeks.
The Team were requested to search areas around Great Hill, after it has been found he may have been spotted on the summit the day he was reported missing.
2 Mountain Rescue Search dogs and navigators started the day early to search designated areas. Once the search dogs had completed their areas, Team members carried out a further searching around Great Hill.
Unfortunately, nothing was found and Brian is still outstanding and missing.
Today, 10 volunteers of Bowland Pennine and 2 search dogs and their handlers attended today.
Our continued thoughts go to the family and friends of Brian, who remains outstanding.
