We were requested by Lancashire Constabulary to attend at Longridge Fell to search for a 66-year-old male who had separated from his family on Longridge Fell.
As the team assembled at the Jeffery Hill car park to be deployed onto the fell, the good news came through that the missing person had been found safe and well. It transpires that the male, had managed to walk home after being separated, so the rescue team stood down at this point.
20 mountain rescue volunteers attended this incident, completing over 60 volunteer hours to the incident.
