On Tuesday 4th October 2022 the rescue team were called by Lancashire Constabulary to assist with an ongoing search for a 77-year-old make who had been missing from home for 4 days.
The team, assembled at the Village Hotel grounds to search the surrounding area of Marton Mere. 17 team members over a 9 hour search operation searched the area but we were unable to locate the missing male, and with our designated areas searched and completed, the rescue team stood down.
Post Incident – Sadly on Wednesday 5th October 2022, the rescue team were informed that a body believed to be the missing from home male had been located by the Police, our heartfelt condolences go to the family during these sad times.
