Bowland Pennine MRT was requested by our neighbours Bolton MRT to assist with an ongoing search for a missing 80-year-old male who had been reported missing in the Roddlesworth and Tockholes plantation areas. Bowland Pennine provided resources over 3 days, Sunday 23rd, Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th March.
During the search, Rossendale & Pendle, Holme Valley and Calder Valley mountain rescue teams also supported. Other agencies, Coastguard helicopter, Police helicopter and drone support was also provided over the search period.
Unfortunately, currently the 80-year-old male is still missing and outstanding, with further enquiries currently being undertaken by Lancashire Police.
