The rescue Team were called by Lancashire Constabulary during the evening of Wednesday 14th August 2024 to assist with an ongoing search for a vulnerable 58-year-old male in the area of Warton Crag.
The Team also returned on Friday morning, the 16th August 2024 to continue the search, however as we arrived we were informed of the sad news that a body had been found.
15 volunteers of Bowland Pennine and 2 Mountain Rescue Search Dog Teams had been out searching Wednesday evening into the early hours of Thursday and 13 volunteers attended on the Friday.
