On Friday afternoon, the 28th April 2023 the rescue team were requested by Lancashire Police to assist with an ongoing search for vulnerable 42-year-old male in the Wyre Country Park area of Stanah.
After an extensive search in the area, including the river banks of the River Wyre, the rescue team stood down with the vulnerable male outstanding.
23 volunteers of Bowland Pennine MRT contributed to this operation which lasted over 9 hours in total.
*Post incident – Thankfully the vulnerable male was located safe and well some time later that evening.
