On Thursday 9th January 2025, the rescue Team were requested by the North West Ambulance Service to attend and assist at Beacon Country Park, Skelmersdale for a 15-year-old boy who had been injured by sledging head first into a tree.
However, on arrival at scene, along with the RRV Paramedic the casualty could not be located. Therefore the decision was to stand down all response and the rescue Team stood down.
15 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue were attending this incident along with Paramedics of the Ambulance Service.
