Incident 027/2023
The rescue team were contacted by Lancashire Police and the North West Ambulance Service to assist with a 52-year-old female who had slipped and had sustained a broken leg and was unable to mobilise.
On arriving at the scene, the casualty was evacuated by a local farmer back to the road head where she was then medically assessed by the rescue team. Due to the situation, she was then transferred by a family vehicle into hospital for further assessments and medical attention.
We wish our casualty a speedy and healthy recovery, hoping that she will be back on her feet very soon.
11 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were involved in this incident, which took almost 3 hours to complete.
