Whilst attending the Borrowdale fell race, a female who was not involved in the Fell race with an injured knee presented herself to the fell party at Sty Head. After consultation, it was decided that it was in everyone’s interest to walk her off the mountain. Team members chaperoned the injured person and her party to Seathwaite. However, do the injury the injured female could not walk that far so we utilised one of our mountain rescue Landrover’s and managed to get it near to Stockley Bridge where we then gave our casualty a lift of the mountain and dropped her off at her camp site which wasn’t too far away.
