Incident 036/2022
At 13.50 hrs., the rescue Team were requested by the North West Ambulance Service to locate and treat a 77-year-old female who had fallen and injured her lower leg and was unable to weight bare. Team members responded and were on scene quickly, assessed the situation and treated the ladt accordingly which included the use of a lower leg vacuum splint. Fortunately, we were able to place her in the front seat of our Nissan Navra and drove off the fields to the roadhead (nearby farm) where we transferred her to an ambulance.
12 volunteer Team members of Bowland Pennine MRT were involved in this incident, which took 3 hours to complete.
