Incident 034/2024

The rescue Team were requested by the North West Ambulance Service at 1pm on the 30th August 2024 to attend Gisburn Forest for a 22-year-old male who had fallen and injured his collar bone whilst out riding his mountain bike.

Our rescue Team responded, however as we approached the forest we received the good news that the injured rider had managed to self rescue and meet the ambulance crew at the Hub in Stephen Park, therefore we stood down.

15 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue were attending this incident and we wish the young mountain biker a speedy and swift recovery.
