Incident 026/2023
The rescue team were requested by Lancashire Police to attend Gisburn Forest on Sunday 2nd July 2023 for a fallen mountain biker in the Hully Gully area.
The young male had sustained a wrist injury on falling was assessed by Team members. He was then transported in team vehicle to the Hub at Stephen Park, where he was then taken to a local hospital in a family car.
We wish the young rider a quick recovery and hopefully a speedy return to Gisburn Forest to enjoy the mountain biking trails.
9 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were involved in this rescue which took just over 3 hours to complete.
