Incident 035/2024
Our rescue Team were alerted by our neighbours Bolton MRT that a mountain biker had fallen and had injured himself in the area of Horden Stoops, West Pennine Moors.
A joint operation between Bolton and Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Teams attended the scene were the Air Ambulance was also in attendance. After a medical assessment, it was decided that the 50-year-old male casualty was able to walk the short distance to the aircraft where he was then flown to the local hospital.
The incident occurred at 10am on Sunday 1st September 2024 and involved 12 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue.
