Incident 028/2024
The North West Ambulance Service requested our Mountain Rescue Team on Tuesday 30th July 2024 to assist with a 51-year-old female who had fallen on steep ground whilst out walking in the Bear’s Head wood, Hornby.
At 17.34hrs, the rescue Team deployed with 14 volunteers of Bowland Pennine to assist and help, however once on scene in Hornby, our patient who was with an off duty Paramedic had managed to self recover back to the road with the assistance of the land ambulance crew.
We wish the patient a very speedy recovery and hopefully back out walking very soon.
