On Wednesday afternoon 17th May 2023, as the rescue Team was completing incident 018/2023 we were requested by the North West Ambulance Service to attend and assist with a 79-year-old male who had tripped/slipped on undulating ground in the Silverdale area whilst out walking.
Once we were on scene, the rescue team assisted the ambulance crew and we secured our gentleman into a casualty bag and placed him onto our mountain rescue Bell stretcher and carried him to safety where the ambulance crew then took over.
As always, we wish our casualty a speedy recovery and we hope he is out and about very soon.
