Incident 021/2024
The rescue Team were called by the North West Ambulance Service for a fallen climber at 7pm on Friday 24th May 2024. The 32 year-old male, who was climbing at Trowbarrow quarry was reported to have back injuries as a result of the incident.
The rescue Team, along with Air Ambulance and Ambulance paramedics assessed the situation and decided to stretcher the patient to a nearby ambulance, where he was then transported into hospital.
16 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were involved in this incident which took just over 2 hours, along with Air Ambulance and land Ambulance crews.
