Incident 027/2024

On Sunday 28th July 2024, at approximately 13.20hrs the rescue Team were contacted by Lancashire Police to help with a female who had requested Mountain Rescue as she snapped something at the back of her leg and was unable to move.

The female (age unknown) had been walking her dog around the Scout campsite of Waddecar when the dog had slipped its lead, causing the incident.

However, as the rescue Team were arriving, we received the good news that a local farmer has assisted and we were able to stand down.

15 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were responding to this incident and we wish the lady with the injury a speedy recovery.
