The rescue Team were requested by Lancashire Police to assist with a male who was having a medical incident on Monday 16th September 2024 on Warton Crag. The Team were called at 16.30 pm to assist the Air Ambulance and Ambulance crews in the remote part of the quarry.
Sadly the male was pronounced deceased at the scene despite extensive medical care and effort.
Our rescue Team then carried out the patient extrication with a stretcher carry back to the car park where an Ambulance was located.
14 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were involved in this sad incident, our condolences go out to the family and friends of the patient.
