The rescue Team, like may others throughout the country were put on standby for the expected severe inclement weather that included snow, ice and high winds over the period from Thursday 9th March for a 36 hour period.
Thankfully, our services were not required or needed, although some of our neighbouring teams were out and about assisting their communities with stranded patients and personal cars.
Over the standby period, the rescue team had 36 volunteer team members ready to respond if need.
